Healthy Ina Garten Recipes For Spring And Summer

Ina Garten has inspired me since her show first started. Her intro song instantly puts me in a relaxed mood. And her lifestyle and approach to food and cooking speaks to me. The below recipes are great for entertaining (obviously)- like a Mother’s Day brunch, Father’s Day cookout, 4th of July BBQ or summer pool parties.


This might be the perfect summer dinner, light and bright!

For those who might not like goat cheese, you could easily substitute cream cheese for the spread. If you don’t have time to make the crust, you can also use (whole grain) pizza dough spread out thin, as a flatbread.

This is one of our favorite summer salads. It could easily be a meal on it’s own or a great side dish for grilled meats.

This would be a fun alternative to bruschetta, and especially great for entertaining and summer BBQs.

One of my favorites, great for entertaining and can be served cool or room temperature. You can substitute the orzo with a grain like quinoa or farro.

Figs are in season for a such a short time but are so delicious and anti-inflammatory. This salad is such a treat in summer.

These are so perfect for entertaining, and would be especially great for breakfast or brunch as a side to eggs.

I’ve made this salad and added in some tomatoes and feta also, it’s delicious.

The dressing is made with heavy cream. If you’re concerned about it, I’d imagine you could mix some sour cream to cut the calories and fat.

Simple salmon can get a little boring. This recipe is a great way to add variety to the mix.

I love using these as a side with eggs and with Greek salad, hummus or grain bowls!
